TALI Train

The Underestimated Importance Of Attention

Attention difficulties are not only found in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), they are also found in typically developing children. Many people take attention for granted. As a parent, it’s vital that you understand the importance of attention in your child’s development.

THE PROBLEM

Children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are at a heightened risk of attention deficits and the associated negative impacts. Typically developing children may experience attention difficulties early in life but don’t receive help until later in their education, often causing them to have gaps in their learning.
Currently, treatment options are sparse, with the most common being psychostimulant medication. Drug based interventions often focus on improving symptoms rather than treating underlying causes of attention problems. Current non-pharmaceutical interventions often require multiple clinical appointments which are expensive and time consuming. In some cases medication cannot be prescribed due to a child’s age or condition.
Early intervention is vital. The TALI Train program was created as an early intervention program to help improve attention in children with attention difficulties and attention disorders like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

THE SOLUTION: TALI TRAIN

TALI Train is a game-based training early intervention program for children, designed by a team of neuroscientists at Monash University. The program represents the culmination of over 25 years of research in developmental psychology and cognitive neuroscience.
The program has been proven to build a child’s 4 core attention skills by strengthening underlying attentional processes. In clinical trials, improvements were retained up to 6 months after treatment stopped, suggesting that benefits are long term.
