    Venessa is a nationally registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an associate member of the Australian Psychology Society (APS). Venessa works at our clinic offering individual therapy services for children and adolescents as well as providing parent coaching and support.

    Venessa is a passionate psychologist with over ten years’ experience working with children and their families. Venessa has extensive experience in providing a range of interventions for children. Through her professional practice she is proficient at several evidence-based interventions including cognitive behaviour therapy, behaviour therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, motivational interviewing and play therapy.

    Venessa is committed to providing a quality service and has a warm and empathetic approach to support. She aims to outline strategies that guide children and families in enhancing positive aspects of their life as well as assisting them in the management of challenging presentations. Venessa has experience in working with children and adolescents in the areas of anxiety management, grief and adjustment, changing relationships, emotion regulation, impulse control, social skills training, stress management, problem solving and coping strategies. Venessa can also provide support in the development of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and the development of healthy lifestyle habits.

    Venessa gained her valuable experience working as a school counsellor for over ten years in both primary and secondary schools. Her role involves conducting assessment, clinical observations, formulating intervention plans and collaboration with staff, families and stakeholders. In addition to this, she gained valuable skills in the provision of psychological intervention. She also, in this role, facilitated group programs and conducted individual and family therapy. Venessa gained experience in delivering interventions for a range of diagnosis including but not limited to anxiety, challenging behaviours, autism, attention deficit disorder, depression and other psychological presentations (e.g anger, defiance, selective mutism). 

    Venessa believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to support and is proficient in helping parents and school staff through consultation and psycho-education. 

    Venessa works at our main office offering both Face to Face and online services via video conferencing.
